A Scramble Up Spring Creek

The day after getting the kids on the water at Lake Livingston State Park, Willy and I went on our own adventure out of Jesse Jones Park in Humble, TX. It ended up being a lot of walking the canoe through the shallow areas of Spring Creek, and learning to work together with a strong current in play. We also took a couple of tumbles into the cold creek water. 😂
March 15, 2023. We thought we would go back, but that hasn't happened yet. There are easier places to paddle, haha.

  First time out on our own kayaks, February 25, 2023 Putting in was a scramble at the busy boat ramp at Ponderosa Marina, but we managed and had a lovely day in the bayou. We had lines in the water but didn't catch anything. I would rather just paddle then worry about the extra gear myself.
